Archer MCP Connector
The Archer MCP connector gives Claude, and any other program that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), access to your Archer data. Once connected, Claude can read your properties, rent rolls, financials, comparables, underwriting models and deal pipeline. It authenticates using your existing Archer sign-in.
Connect
Claude Desktop
- Open Settings → Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Paste this server URL and confirm:
https://app-api.archer.re/mcp - Select Connect. Your browser opens; sign in with your Archer account and approve access.
No Add custom connector option? Custom connectors have been disabled for your Claude organization. Ask an administrator to enable custom connectors in your organization settings.
Claude Code
- Add the server:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user archer https://app-api.archer.re/mcp - Start Claude Code and run
/mcp. - Select archer, then Authenticate, and sign in with your Archer account.
The add command on its own does not sign you in. Until you authenticate,
the server shows as needing authentication and no tools appear.

Scope and limits
- Data
- Same information as the Archer API.
- Rate limit
- 60 requests per minute per individual user.
- Plan
- Tools listed are for the Archer Pro plan or above.
- Privacy
- How Archer handles your data is set out in the Archer privacy policy.
Troubleshooting
- No Add custom connector option in Claude
- Custom connectors are disabled for AI tools within your company. Ask your company's administrator to enable them.
- Connected, but no tools appear
- Your Archer plan is below Pro. Upgrade, then disconnect and reconnect so your AI tool loads the tools.
- It worked before, but now asks you to sign in or requests fail
- Disconnect the connector in your AI tool and connect again.
- Claude can't find a property, deal or underwrite
- It sees only what your Archer account sees, so check the record in Archer and that you signed in with the right account. Search by name, address or Archer property ID.
- The rent roll or financials come back empty
- There may be no data for that date. Ask which dates are on file, then ask for one of those.
- A request times out
- Narrow it to a smaller radius, one date or one property. If it keeps happening, email support.
- A rate limit message
- More than 60 requests in a minute. Wait a minute, and ask questions that span many properties in smaller steps.
- Claude answers from general knowledge, not your Archer data
- Turn the connector on for the conversation (in Claude Desktop, the tools menu in the message box), or start with "Using Archer, ...".
FAQ
- Does Archer use my data to train AI models?
- No. Archer does not use your data, or the requests your AI tool makes, to train AI models.
- Does my AI provider train on my Archer data?
- Data a tool returns becomes part of your conversation, so your provider's terms apply. Claude Team, Enterprise and API are not used for training by default. On Claude Free, Pro and Max, conversations may be used if the model training setting is on, and rating a response can send that conversation to Anthropic. For other AI tools, check your provider's terms.
- What do you recommend for client or deal data?
- A business plan, such as Claude Team or Enterprise, with model training turned off. Provider terms change; for Claude, see the Anthropic Privacy Center.
- Does Archer see my Claude conversations or credentials?
- No. Archer only receives the tool requests your AI tool makes, such as "rent roll for property 4821".
- Can my teammates use it?
- Yes. Each person connects with their own Archer account and sees only what that account can see.
- Does it cost extra?
- No. It is included with the Archer Pro plan.
- How do I revoke access?
- Disconnect the connector in your AI tool.
